Dorothy Louise Ellerman, 91, of Brownstown passed away at 10:40 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Lutheran Community Home in Seymour with the family by her side.

Born April 2, 1926, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Martin W. Pardieck and Lorna Wente Pardieck, both of whom preceded her in death. On June 29, 1947, she married Marvin H. Ellerman, who passed away in 1997.

The 1944 graduate of Shields High School in Seymour was part owner of Seymour Greenhouse and a homemaker. She was a past member of Brownstown Tri Kappa, a Brownstown Girl Scouts leader and a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Brownstown, where she was involved in the Ladies Aid, Bible church study and the church Fellowship Club. She loved to work with flowers, read books and knit.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Ellerman of Seymour and Dan Ellerman of Brownstown; a daughter, Cynthia Coffin of Granbury, Texas; three grandchildren, Louise (Tim) Brown, Kara Ellerman and Zackary Ellerman; two great-grandchildren, Sean Brown and Savanah Brown; a brother, Roger (Mary Ann) Pardieck of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Martin Pardieck Jr. and Robert Pardieck.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Brownstown with the Rev. Nicholas Fuller. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Zabel Funeral Home in Brownstown and from 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the church.

Memorials may be made to Lutheran Community Home, St. Peter’s Lutheran Church or Schneck Memorial Hospice Care.
