PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia police have been searching for the shooter or shooters who gunned down two young women sitting inside a parked and running pickup truck.

Police have yet to release the names of the 28-year-old and 19-year-old women who were found dead about 12:10 a.m. Wednesday in north Philadelphia.

Police say whoever shot the women was in another vehicle that drove by the passenger side of the parked truck. The older victim was in the driver’s seat, and the younger woman was the passenger.

Chief Inspector Scott Small says both women were shot several times in the head and upper body.
