GASTONIA, N.C. — Three people are accused of killing a 20-year-old North Carolina man, and police are searching for a fourth suspect.

WSOC TV reports Richard Abernathy was shot in the face shortly after midnight Sunday while he was sitting in a car in Gastonia. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say three men have been arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
