A free Legal Aid Clinic will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Aug. 2 at the Jackson County Public Library, 303 W. Second St., Seymour.

The Legal Aid Clinic and Pro Bono Program uses local volunteer attorneys for free legal consultations to low-income individuals who might not otherwise be able to afford an attorney.

Individuals will receive a 10-minute consultation to answer general questions, receive legal information or other limited assistance or advice in person on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is no need to register in advance.

A second clinic is planned for Nov. 1 at the same location.
