Jerry E. Fish, 75, of Leicester, MA, passed away June 23, 2017 at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He was born and raised in Indiana.

Jerry proudly served in the US Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis and the Vietnam War. After his service to our country, he served locally as a police officer in Wakefield and Lexington, MA.

Always quick to tell his family a story or to crack a joke, Jerry enjoyed fishing, shooting, collecting knives, and playing guitar with his brothers and band mates. Most importantly of all, he cherished his family. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren made his face light up whenever he saw them, and they too will miss their Pa/Papaw dearly.

Survivors include Karen M. (Richard) Chase of Reading, MA and Liisa K. (Edward) Mackey of Wading River, NY; brothers, Jim, Jack, David, and Reggie Fish all of Indiana, one brother deceased, Michael Fish; grandchildren, Richard Chase, Jr., Kristina Young, Matthew Chase and Elizabeth Mackey; great-grandchildren, Kathryn, Richard James and Victoria Chase, and Ryan, Kevin and Connor Young.

A Memorial Service will be conducted Monday, July 31, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Gorbett’s Chapel and burial following at the cemetery with Hershel Axsom officiating. Full Military Graveside Rites will be conducted.

Arrangements are being handled through Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia.
