The Southern Indiana Flying Eagles radio control club will conduct a flying event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Freeman Municipal Airport in Seymour.

This is a qualifying event with 20 to 25 participants expected. The top fliers will be invited to the 34th United States Scale Masters, which will be conducted in Seymour for the first time Sept. 13 through 16.

This event will feature the best of the best in the United States. In September, 50 to 75 participants from the Midwest and eastern United States are expected.

At both events, attendees will see scale model planes that may take two to three years to build with substantial cost involved.

Parking is free, and concessions will be available for purchase.

The club’s flying field is in the 1200 block of North A Avenue off the Airport Road entrance to Freeman Field.
