SEYMOUR, INDIANA

Mrs. Arvilla Mae Johnson, 90, Seymour, passed away on August 3, at Hoosier Christian Village. She was born December 5, 1926, in Medora, the daughter of James Franklin and Sarah Elizabeth (Jones) Shelton. She married James Cletus Johnson, who preceded her in death November 9, 1990. Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and root hunting.

She is survived by her children, Wanda Reynolds, and Harold (Julie) Johnson; grandchildren, Lisa (Garry) Elkins, Teresa (David) Blythe, James Johnson, Tawna Johnson, Harold (Lisa) Johnson, Jennifer (James) Starr, Tina (Mike) Fluhr, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sister, LaVerne Gorbett; and son-in-law, Jerry Engleking.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her daughter, Wilma Engleking; great granddaughter, Jessica Petro, great great granddaughter, Olivia, brothers, Genie, Clayton, Ben, and James Johnson, and sisters, Daisy Elliott and Mary Purvis.

Funeral services will be held at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Monday, August 7, at 1 pm. Burial will take place at Hayden Cemetery, Hayden, IN.
