WINDSOR, Colo. — A historic northern Colorado mill destroyed in a fire Sunday was in the process of being redeveloped into a brewpub, tavern and other businesses.
No one was injured in the blaze at the 118-year-old Windsor Mill. State and federal authorities are investigating the cause.
The Coloradoan reports that the sale of the mill to developer Blue Ocean Enterprises last year brought hope that the building would be resurrected. Real estate director, Steve Schroyer, says the company is assessing what it will do next.
Windsor, about 60 miles (90 kilometers) north of Denver, contributed $3.7 million in tax incentives to help the project. However, under the deal, the developer has to have at least half the building leased for five years by the end of next year.
