PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. — Four men were arrested after a daylight home invasion led to a nearly three-hour standoff in suburban Philadelphia.
Police in Montgomery County say four men broke into the house in Plymouth Meeting just before 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
A woman tells WCAU-TV (http://bit.ly/2fqyi0L)she saw men knock on her neighbor’s front and back doors and then climb through a window when no one answered. She says that’s when she called 911.
Plymouth Township Police Chief Joe Lawrence says officers arrived to find three men running down the street. Two were arrested and one was the 70-year-old homeowner, who managed to flee during the chaos. He told officers the men hit him over the head, put a gun in his mouth and threatened to kill him.
Two other men barricaded themselves in the home but surrendered around noon.
