SEYMOUR, INDIANA

Mrs. Dorothy Dot (Burnette) West, 92, of Seymour, passed away on August 1. She was born October 1, 1924, in Robertson County, TN, to James Thomas and Martha Ann (Spurlock) Burnette.

On May 31, 1943, in Franklin, KY, she married Earl West, who preceded her in death on April 14, 2009. Dot was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was a member of WADY. She enjoyed Quilting and gardening.

Mrs. West is survived by her daughter, Donna Hinson; 2 grandchildren, Kevin (Michele) and Jason (Tabitha); 3 great grandchildren; and a brother, Billy Ray (Barbara) Burnette.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Stephen Douglas West; great granddaughter, Vivian M. West; three sisters, Estelle Head, Earline Gregory, and Flossie Estes; and a brother, Dalton Burnette.

Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on August 12 from 12-1 pm. Graveside services, conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service, will follow at Riverview Cemetery with Rev. Tom Judd officiating.
