Tribune photos by Aubrey Woods / The building that has been housing the Jackson County Planning & Zoning office at 202 E. Walnut St. in Brownstown was being moved Thursday by workers with MCF House Movers of Petersburg. The building, which was the office of State Farm agent Dave Lewis before the county purchased it in 2013, is being moved to the county highway garage at 360 S. County Road 25E as part of the Jackson County Judicial Center project. The planning & zoning office is temporarily operating out of a trailer at the county highway garage until the building is set in place and made functional. The building will eventually become the office for the highway garage once the judicial center project is completed in late 2018.
