NEW YORK — Police in New York City are searching for two men who they say robbed a meatball restaurant.

Authorities say the robbery occurred in Brooklyn around 3 a.m. Wednesday. Police say two men entered The Meatball Shop and threatened a 30-year-old man with a handgun. The suspects told the man to take them to the restaurant’s safe before stealing around $2,000 in cash.

Police say the suspects forced the man into a freezer before fleeing the scene.

No injuries were reported. An investigation is continuing.
