The Rev. Dr. Jeremy Myers, seven adults and 16 middle and high school youth from First Baptist Church in Seymour recently served the Fort Wayne community for a week.

All attendees were placed on teams that were either painting houses, building decks or roofing houses.

Mission Serve also had churches from Illinois, Ohio, West Virginia, Tennessee and Maryland at the event.

First Baptist Church served with First Baptist from St. Albans, West Virginia, where Myers formerly served as youth pastor. The two churches were joined as one family serving together.

The leadership of First Baptist Church in Seymour is working to create opportunities for people to serve locally, domestically and internationally. The church offers two worship services on Sundays. Blended worship is at 9 a.m. in the sanctuary, and contemporary worship is at 11:15 a.m. in the fellowship center.
