A former contestant on the NBC singing competition show “The Voice” is coming to Jackson County for a benefit concert.

James Dupré will headline the show at 6 p.m. Sept. 1 at Heritage Park, 121 E. Walnut St., Brownstown. He was on “The Voice” in 2015.

Local artist Forrest Turner will be the opener, and Haley Deckert will sing the national anthem.

Presale tickets are $10 and may be purchased at Ewing Unique & Boutique and Blondie’s Pizzeria & Pub, both in Brownstown. Tickets will be $12 the night of the show.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase from TJ’s BBQ, Pewter Hall (adult beverage truck) and Blondie’s Pizzeria & Pub.

Attendees are invited to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets.

East Walnut Street will be closed during the event.

All ticket sales will go to the family of 1-year-old Kinley Lynn Tormoehlen, who was diagnosed in April with Wilms tumor or nephroblastoma, a rare kidney cancer, and is undergoing chemotherapy treatments at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health in Indianapolis. She is the daughter of Shane and Katie Tormoehlen of Vallonia.
