WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — Authorities say the deaths of a couple whose bodies were found in a Pennsylvania home are believed to have resulted from a murder-suicide.

Police in northeastern Pennsylvania’s Luzerne County said the man and woman were found dead in a Fairview Township home at about 10 a.m. Saturday.

Chief Phil Holbrook of the township police department said the married couple were “in their 50s or 60s” but declined to release their names.

Holbrook said the apparent murder/suicide appeared to be an isolated incident and there was no danger to the public. He said no autopsies are planned.
