Hornets fall in three

CAMPBELLSBURG

Medora fell to West Washington 25-16, 25-14, 25-14 on Thursday.

Kailen Flynn went 24-for-30 hitting with three kills and Alli Carney was 20 of 22. As a team, the Hornets made 62 of 81 attempts with seven combined kills.

Katie Beesley had all three of the Honrets’ aces on the night while going 12-for-14.

The Hornets (1-3) will host Rock Creek Academy on Tuesday.

BOYS SOCCER

Trinity draws in opener

GREENWOOD

Trinity Lutheran tied Greenwood Christian Academy 1-1 in their season-opener Thursday.

Andrew Emily scored from 30 yards on a free kick to give Trinity a 1-0 advantage 17 minutes into the game.

The Cougars knotted the game 10 minutes into the second half, but neither team would find the back of the goal the rest of the way.

Jacob Keith recorded 11 saves for Trinity in goal, as they were out-shot 15-12 on the afternoon.

Trinity (0-0-1) will play at Rising Sun on Saturday.

BOYS TENNIS

Matches washed-out

Both the Brownstown Central at North Harrison and Seymour at Providence boys tennis matches were cancelled Thursday due to rain.

Coaches from both schools said that they will try to make up the matches.
