Robert Thomas Chinn, 78, of Seymour, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017, at Schneck Medical Center. He was born on February 10, 1939, in Rockport, Indiana, to the late George and Florence (Walter) Chinn. On August 27, 1958, he married Carolyn Emery, she survives. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, Lions Club, Greensburg Chamber of Commerce, Seymour Jaycees, Rotary Club, and Sagamore of the Wabash.

He is survived by his wife; children, Cynthia Dwyer, Patricia (Charles) Stuckwisch, Robert T. (Julie) Chinn, Jr., and Mary (Jay) Allman; grandchildren, Sean, Curtis, Jamie, Dalton, Dillon, Zina, Cameron, Matt, and Mackenzie; 3 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Bettye J. Ferguson.

He is preceded in death by his parents; grandsons, Daren and Jay Jay; granddaughter, Elizabeth Dwyer; and brothers, William Chinn, Joe Chinn, Charles Chinn, Wayne Chinn, and John Chinn.

Funeral mass will be Friday, September 8, at 11am at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with Father Dan Staublin and assisted by Deacon Mike East. A graveside service will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Friday at 3 pm at the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield, Indiana.

Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Thursday, September 7, from 4-8 pm and at the church on Friday from 10 am until time of service. A Rosary service will be at 3:30 pm on Thursday.

Memorials may be written to St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, or American Heart Association, in care of Voss & Sons Funeral Service.
