CROTHERSVILLE

Roy A. Robbins, 77, of Crothersville, Indiana, passed away at12:38 p.m.Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Hoosier Christian Village Nursing Home.

Born April 17, 1940 in Jackson County, Indiana, he was a son of Clem M. Robbins and Mary Sherman Robbins. Roy was raised in Tampico and graduated from Tampico High School in 1959.

He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Crothersville.Roy enjoyed 50’s and 60’s Rock & Roll music and was an expert on the music of that era. In later Years, he enjoyed attending all of Crothersville H. S. sporting events.He had worked and retired from Morgan Canning Company in Austin. Later he worked at numerous Restaurants in Seymour.

Survivors include three nephews, Richard (Lucy) Tormoehlen of Kokomo, IN, Roger (Karen) Tormoehlen, of Oxford, IN, Greg Tormoehlen and friend, Rebekah Spurgeon, of Springfield, Kentucky, a niece, Sue Ann Rommel, of Brownstown, IN; six great nephews and great nieces, Naomi (matt) State, Martin (Suzanne) Tormoehlen, Cody Tormoehlen, Sean Tormoehlen, Lynne Marie Tormoehlen, and Laura Rommel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Paul Robbins, a sister Dorothy J. Tormoehlen and a niece, Esther Tormoehlen.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville with burial to follow at Russell Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and after Noon on Sunday all at the funeral home.
