TUCSON, Ariz. — Police say they’ve arrested a suspect who allegedly shot and wounded a man near Tucson’s Rialto Theatre.

Tucson police say 23-year-old Dillon Martinez is jailed on suspicion of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault with serious physical injury and discharging a firearm in the city limits.

It was unclear Sunday if Martinez has a lawyer yet.

Police responded to a report of a shooting Saturday night and found a man in the roadway near the theater suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was taken to a hospital and reported to be in critical but stable condition.

His name wasn’t immediately released.

Police say Martinez and the wounded man got into an argument in the roadway and it turned into a physical fight before the shooting occurred.
