JCB has announced the hiring of Michelle Schaefer as assistant vice president, commercial banker, working out of the new banking center on Central Avenue in Columbus.

Schaefer most recently worked as chief financial officer at Midwest Environmental Services. Previously, she was a commercial banker at JCB for nine years, and before that, she worked in both private and public accounting roles.

A graduate of Seymour High School and Ball State University, she is active in the Columbus and Seymour communities, serving on Schneck Medical Center’s patient advisory council, Camp Lakeview Foundation and Immanuel Lutheran School’s athletic council.

“We are thrilled to have Michelle back at JCB,” said Jeffrey B. Nolting, senior vice president, chief lending officer, for JCB. “Her proven history of helping businesses meet their commercial banking needs right here at JCB and her already strong relationships with JCB’s commercial customers is a quality that couldn’t be found anywhere else.”
