SEYMOUR, INDIANA

Shirley Mackey, 91, of Seymour, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2017, at Covered Bridge. Shirley was born in Seymour on June 11, 1926, the daughter of the late Arthur B. and Mary Etta (Gaffney) Morris.

On February 26, 1945 she married Paul O. Mackey and he passed away on October 13, 2000. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and a member of the Alpha Class. She was a former member of Seymour First Church of the Nazarene. She was a member of the American Legion, VFW and the Senior Citizens Club #107. Shirley worked at HO Canfield for over 20 years.

Her survivors include daughter, Vicky (Clark) Sorensen; son Patrick (Elisabeth) Mackey; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Cathy Colwell; and sisters, Etta Jean Carpenter and Helen Francis.

Funeral Services will be held at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Saturday, September 23, at 1:30 pm. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.

Friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Saturday, from 12 noon until time of service.
