HARTFORD, Conn. — Police say two separate shootings have left two people dead in Connecticut.

Hartford Deputy Chief Brian Foley says officers found four men lying in the street early Saturday. One of the victims was declared dead at the scene and another was in critical condition. The other two sustained injuries not considered life-threatening.

Investigators believe the victims were involved in a gunfight.

Officers had responded to a shooting in a different area on Friday night. The two men were found shot inside of a car. One was pronounced dead at the hospital while the other survived.

Police say the vehicle had multiple bullet holes and the back window had been blown out.

Police are investigating whether the two shootings are related.
