Two people were injured in a three-vehicle accident on State Road 11 near the Bartholomew County and Jackson County line.

Bartholomew County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the scene at 3:59 p.m. Friday for a head-on collision with entrapment, said Bartholomew County Sheriff Matt Myers. Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies, firefighters and EMS personnel also went to the scene.

When they arrived, deputies saw a red Ford Focus and Chevrolet Taho stuck together in the southbound lane of State Road 11. In the northbound lane, a white pickup had damage to a boat and a trailer. All three vehicles blocked State Road 11, Myers said.

First responders provided medical assistance to one of the drivers, Caleb Meadows, 26 of Bedford, who was trapped inside his Ford Focus. The driver of the Tahoe, Alexander Royalty, 17 of Seymour, was transported to the hospital for a complaint of p
