DURHAM, N.C. — Police have named three suspects charged in the shooting death of a woman in North Carolina.

Authorities tell local media 23-year-old Jamal Shamsuddeen, 24-year-old Aquan Pitts and 20-year-old Mustafa Magwood have all been charged with murder.

Police say 36-year-old Tequila Smith was found shot to death Friday night in a residential neighborhood about a mile from North Carolina Central university.

Shamsuddeen and Magwood were taken to a hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Authorities are investigating how the two men were shot, and it wasn’t immediately known if any of the suspects had attorneys.
