LEESBURG, Va. — A man accused of fatally stabbing his father has been arrested after turning himself in at a police station in Virginia.

Leesburg police said in a statement that 28-year-old Hector Anthony Flores Jr. walked into the department’s headquarters on Sunday night and told police he had stabbed his father at their home.

The Washington Post reports responding officers found 48-year-old Hector Anthony Flores suffering from an apparent stab wound. Police say he died at the scene.

Authorities say the stabbing stemmed from an altercation between the two men.

Flores Jr. was charged with first-degree murder and is being held without a bond. It’s unclear if he has a lawyer.
