LEXINGTON, S.C. — Authorities have charged a woman with killing her husband nearly 10 months after he was found dead in his bed in his South Carolina home.

Lexington Police Chief Terrence Green said investigators needed blood spatter and weapons experts as well as reviews of electronic devices and interviews to obtain a murder warrant Monday for 51-year-old Kimberly Groh.

Green says Groh shot 55-year-old Michael Bryan in the chest on Nov. 30 in their Lexington home The chief did not say why Groh killed her husband.

Green said in a news release that Groh turned herself in on Tuesday. She is awaiting a bond hearing and it wasn’t known if she had an attorney.
