Tigers girls win SAC, boys runners-up

SELLERSBURG

The Crothersville girls’ cross-country team won their third straight Southern Athletic Conference title Saturday at Silver Creek High School.

Grace Wilson was champion for the Tigers and Piper Hensley finished runner-up. Makayla Helt placed seventh to also garner All-SAC honors.

Carl Bowman was named SAC girls’ coach of the year for winning the conference.

In the boys’ race, Lane Wienhorst placed fourth to be named All-SAC. David Rose’s 10th place finish was All-SAC honorable mention.
