BROWNSTOWN, INDIANA

Forest Ray Russell, Jr., 86, of Brownstown, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at his home. He was born September 6, 1931, in Russell County, Kentucky, to the late Forest Russell, Sr. and One Jane (West) Russell. On August 26, 1954, he married Eloise Cornutt, she survives. He retired from Gardener Box Company in Freeman Field. He really enjoyed his retirement and in his free time, he enjoyed building things.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Eloise Russell; children, Dennis (Angie) Russell, David (Deb) Russell, Barbara (Harpo) Walters, and Dian (Jim) Wayt; 7 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Glen Russell; and sisters, Ruth Chapman and Lois Conner.

He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Enola Wooldridge, Theola Skaggs, Alonas Russell, Agnes Miller, Mary Skaggs, Janice Roland, and Gladys Dunbar.

Funeral services will be at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Thursday, October 5, at 1 pm with Rev. Tim Lichtley officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Brownstown.
