WESTFIELD, INDIANA

Mildred Snyder Marling, 98, of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2017, at Wellbrooke of Westfield in Westfield, Indiana. She was born May 13, 1919, in Seymour, to the late William and Martha (Pollert) Snyder.

She was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church in Eagle Creek. On July 4, 1942, she married Riley Hadley Marling at Immanuel Lutheran Church; he passed away in August 1992. She retired from Sears in 1982, after many years of service.

She is survived by her children, Lynn Allen Marling and Sue Ellen Marling Stahl; daughter-in-law, Marjorie Marling; brother-in-law, Marvin Hackman; several nieces and nephews; and a grand dog, Sierra.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Wilbur Snyder and Paul Snyder; sister, Norma Hackman; and two sisters-in-law, Alice Snyder and Helen Snyder.

Services will be at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Thursday, October 5, at 2 pm with Rev. Sam Leiter officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
