Sertoma Oktoberfest fundraiser benefits Schneck

The Don and Dana Myers Cancer Center at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour will benefit from the sale of the Sertoma Club of Jackson County’s annual official Seymour Oktoberfest steins this week.

The center will receive 20 percent of the profits from each stein sold during Oktoberfest, set for Thursday, Friday and Saturday in downtown Seymour.

The cancer center’s logo and a purple ribbon — representing all forms of cancer — adorn one side of the steins.

Sertoma has been selling official Oktoberfest steins since the festival’s inception. Profits from the project help finance Sertoma scholarships, speech and hearing projects and the annual Christmas Miracle program.

The cost of the steins this year is $20.

A limited number of last year’s stein, which includes the Indiana bicentennial logo, remain available after reordering.
