Geneva Pearl Stuckwisch, 98, of Newburgh, IN, formerly of Seymour, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Newburgh Health Care. Geneva was born on January 30, 1919 in Vallonia, Indiana, the daughter of Frederick & Elizabeth Holle, both of whom preceded her in death.

She graduated from Vallonia High School in 1937. She took care of her parents after high school until their deaths and then married Hugo John Stuckwisch on June 30 1956 in Vallonia at Trinity Lutheran Church. He preceded her in 2009.

Geneva was a homemaker who enjoyed baking desserts. She loved animals, all types of art, drawing and painting. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where she served the Ladies Aid. She was also a past member of the Homemaker Extension. Geneva was an accomplished pianist and played at various churches she attended through the years. She was a devoted wife and mother.

She is survived by her daughter, Julia (Joe L. Villarreal) Baker; 5 grandchildren: JoElle (Nathan) Knight, Jessica Baker, Christopher Baker, Joseph (Brianna) Baker and Bryce Baker; 5 great grandchildren: Colette and Vienna Knight, Kaidence, Lacey and Levi Baker.

In addition to her parents and husband, 1 brother and 2 sisters preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 12, at 3 p.m. with Pastor Jeffrey Stuckwisch officiating at Burkholder Funeral Chapel. Visitation will held from noon until time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
