The Jackson County Plan Commission has set a public hearing for the adoption of a new zoning ordinance.

The hearing will be during the regular monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Jackson County Courthouse Annex, 220 E. Walnut St., Brownstown.

The public is encouraged to review the new ordinance and contact the Jackson County Planning and Zoning Office with any questions, feedback or concerns at 812-358-6108. A PDF of the existing and proposed ordinances can be found online at jacksoncountyplanning.com.

Plan commission meetings, open to the public and press, are conducted at 7:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month at the annex.
