The Jackson County Plan Commission will consider two requests during a meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the courthouse annex, 220 E. Walnut St., Brownstown.

The first request comes from Ira Auffenberg, who is seeking to vacate four 12-foot alleys that have never been maintained in Houston. If given a favorable recommendation, Auffenberg’s request also will require the approval of county commissioners at their meeting at 6 p.m. Nov. 7 at the courthouse annex.

The second request is for a special exception to allow for a 260-foot wireless communications tower on a 76.79-acre site owned by Louis Shoemaker at 3887 S. State Road 235, Vallonia. That request comes from Horvath Communications, 312 W. Colfax Ave., South Bend.

If given a favorable recommendation, that request will require the approval of the Jackson County Board of Zoning Appeals. That board is scheduled to review the request during its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 14 at the courthouse annex.

Board meetings are open to the public and press.
