The Fraternal Order of Police Donald M. Winn Lodge 108 has begun accepting applications for the 2017 FOP Cops & Kids Christmas shopping program.

This year, the process to apply for the program has changed. There is now an application that will need to be filled out, and letters will not be accepted.

The new process will require a signature so the applicant’s information can be processed through Jackson County United Way Charity Tracker. Applications will be reviewed by a committee.

Applications will be available from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Seymour Police Department and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department in Brownstown.

Failure to complete the application in full can result in the application being denied.

Applications must be returned to the Seymour Police Department in person or by mail.

The deadline to submit an application is 4 p.m. Nov. 17.
