EDINBURGH, INDIANA

Irene Hudson, 97,of Edinburgh, formerly of Seymour, IN, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus. Irene was born on May 6, 1920 in Seymour, the daughter of Everett and Iva Findley, both of whom preceded her in death.

She married Harold Hudson on June 24, 1939 in Seymour. He preceded her in October 6, 1995.

Irene was a homemaker who loved to cook and was always available to put on a great meal. She was a member of Edinburgh Church of the Nazarene and former member of the Peter Switch Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by her son, Rev. James E. (Diane) Hudson; grandchildren, Jim Hudson, Scott (Kim) Hudson, Michael (Danell) Bequeret, Marc (Sarah) Bequeret, Melissa (Bill) Mitts; 8 great grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Lorene Myers, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, a sister, Bertha Prewitt and two brothers, Bill and Guy Martin Findley and a sister-in-law, Charmaine Findley preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 21, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Keith Ross officiating at Burkholder Funeral Chapel. Visitation will held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at Riverview Cemetery.
