DUDLEYTOWN, INDIANA

Matthew Lynn Bobb, 47, of Dudleytown, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. He was the son of Richard and Janet Bobb.

He was a member of the Seymour High School class of 1988, where he played football all 4 years. He had spent his entire work history with John Deere in Seymour from Bryant Implement to Deer Country to Wright Implement.

On November 12, 1994, he married his high school sweetheart, Kimberly Olson. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Dudleytown, where he was baptized and confirmed and had served as head trustee, usher, on the cemetery committee, finance board and school board.

He enjoyed dartball, 4-H softball, and tractor pulling. From 1999-2004, he pulled a John Deere 6030 tractor in the Indiana SuperFarm Pullers Association. He grew up showing pigs in 4-H and continued with his children for another 11 years. Matt had a unique ability to make others laugh and smile with him. He never knew a stranger. He most enjoyed watching his children play sports (softball, football, volleyball, baseball and cross country). He loved farming and especially farming with his father. More than anything, he loved his family and was so very proud of his children.

He is survived by his parents; wife, Kimberly Sue Bobb; children, Emily Sue, Morgan Kay, Jamie Lynn, McKenna Grace, and Tyler Matthew Bobb; brother, Mark (Janet) Bobb; beloved in-laws, Michael and Pam Olson; sister-in-law, Shelly Hunsucker; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Michael Bobb; and mother-in-law, Connie Sue Olson.

Funeral services will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Monday, October 23, at Emanuel Lutheran Church Dudleytown at 10:30 am with Rev. Philip Bloch officiating. Burial will follow at Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
