MEDORA, INDIANA

Ms. Janice M. Wooldridge, 61, of Medora, passed away Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, at home.

She was born on July 26, 1956, in Beech Grove, Indiana, to Joseph and Sarah (Barnard) Wooldridge.

She was a member of Kurtz Church of the Nazarene. Although she was never able to run and play with the other children, she loved holding and loving on babies. So much so that cousins would visit her before going home from the hospital with their newborns. She had a contagious smile that would melt anyone’s heart. She was a true blessing from God to everyone that knew her.

She is survived by her mother; aunts, Ruth (Pearl) Nelson-Brittain, Phyllis Barnard, Joyce Barnard, and Shirley Barnard; as well as 26 cousins.

She is preceded in death by her father; uncles, Oakley Barnard, Marcus Barnard, Emmitt Barnard, Herschel Barnard, Sonny Taylor, Phil Hillenburg, and Arthur Nelson; and aunts, Nile Mize and Ann Taylor.

Funeral services will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Thursday, October 26, at 1 pm at Kurtz Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Floyd Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at Kurtz Cemetery.

Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Wednesday from 5 to 7 pm and at the church from 12 noon until time of service Thursday.
