Free and open to the public, Boiler Bridge events are intended to connect the Purdue University campus to communities throughout Indiana.

The next event will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at the Columbus Learning Center student commons and auditorium, 4555 Central Ave., Columbus.

Purdue academic counselors will be available to answer questions concerning college costs, available scholarships, financial aid, campus life, career opportunities, placement resources and more.

Youth interested in college and their parents also can gain specific details about different paths through junior high or high school that could serve as springboards to Purdue academic degrees. Parents also can find out more about important application dates and life at Purdue.

Experts will be able to answer questions about multiple fields of study at Purdue.

Purdue Extension representatives will be on hand to discuss the many ways in which they strengthen future leaders, agricultural industries, communities and regional economies of all types throughout Indiana. Local youth from Indiana 4-H youth development programs also will be on hand for project demonstrations.
