Richard Wayne “Bud” McKinney, 62 of Brownstown, formerly of Uniontown, passed away at 1:28pm on Friday, October 20, 2017 at the Schneck Medical Center. Born November 26, 1954, he was the son of Richard P. McKinney and Tillie Faye (Frederick) McCullough.

On December 10, 1976 in Seymour, he married Billie Ann (Bowman) McKinney who survives. Bud started driving truck at an early age, starting first with Rose Acre Farms, then drove cement truck with Polly’s Concrete, worked at Cummins Engine Company and then retired from Dolly Madison as driver. He was a member of the Victory Tabernacle Church. Bud loved to play guitar and hunting & fishing. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association, North American Hunting Club and the North American Fishing Club.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Billie McKinney of Brownstown; children, Racheal “Ray” Ann McKinney of Seymour and Rusty Wayne McKinney of Brownstown; grandchildren, Derek J. “PoPeye” Howard, Miracle Faith and Lilly Ann McKinney; sisters, Linda Bevers of Seymour, Pat (Dannie) Sutton and Bonnie (Joey) Bowley both of Mississippi, Bonnita (Gary) Graves of Kokomo. Bud also leaves several nieces and nephews behind.

Bud was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Melvin McCullough; his father and brother, Ed McCullough.

Rev. Kelly Reed and Brother Ray Jones will lead a memorial service for Bud on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 1:00pm at Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre. Friends can visit at the funeral home from 11:00am until service time.
