Wine-A-Ree planned at Commons in Columbus

The ninth annual Wine-A-Ree wine, beer and spirits tasting festival will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Nov. 4 at The Commons, 300 Washington St., Columbus.

Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door. Unlimited tastings and a commemorative wine or beer glass are included in the price of the ticket.

New this year will be a VIP tasting hour from noon to 1 p.m. VIP tickets are $45 and are limited. They are only available in advance online. VIP guests will receive a special gift.

Tickets are available at Viewpoint Bookstore in Columbus, Jackson County Visitor Center and This Old Guitar Music Store in Seymour, Village Lights Bookstore in Madison and Levenstein’s in Greensburg and online at hoosiertrailsbsa.org.

The event will include a silent auction with many items up for bid, including a John Mellencamp signed guitar courtesy of This Old Guitar Music Store and tours from de Tours of Indiana Wines.

Vendors this year include Bear Wallow Distillery, Best Vineyards and Spirits, Butler Winery, Cardinal Spirits, Cedar Creek Brew Co., Cedar Creek Winery, Chateau Thomas Winery, Ertel Cellars Winery, First Miracle Winery, Hard Truth Distilling, Harmony Winery, Holtkamp Winery, Huber Winery and Spirits, Huckleberry Winery, Mallow Run Winery, Quaff On Brewing, Salt Creek Brewery, Simmons Winery, 450 North Brewing and Winzerwald Winery.

Returning again this year is de Tours of Indiana Wines. Food from First Class Catering will be available for purchase.

All proceeds benefit Hoosier Trails Council Boy Scouts of America, which serves more than 6,000 young people in 18 counties of south central Indiana, including Bartholomew, Jackson, Decatur and Jennings.
