Jackson County Public Library book discussion groups plan to gather to discuss book themes, writing styles, characters and more in November at the Seymour, Crothersville and Medora libraries.

The groups are open to adults, and there is no attendance requirement. Books are available to check out at the library checkout desks.

The Friday Night Book Club will discuss its monthly book at 7 p.m. Nov. 10 at Bullwinkle’s Family Restaurant, 107 N. Chestnut St., Seymour. Information services assistant Janet Hensen will lead the review of “When the Emperor Was Divine” by Julie Otsuka. Everyone attending should bring money if they plan to eat. Sign up for the program as you check out the book. This group moves to Tuesday nights starting in December.

The book discussion group at the Crothersville Library, which meets on the third Wednesday of each month, will gather and share thoughts on “The Reluctant Fundamentalist” by Mohsin Hamid at 6 p.m. Nov. 15.

Fantastic Fiction will discuss “Winter Garden” by Kristin Hannah at 11 a.m. Nov. 17 at the Seymour Library. Led by volunteers Ann Schwein and Sharon Kamman, this group meets on the third Friday of each month.
