STOUGHTON, Mass. — Massachusetts police are investigating after a sixth-grade student reportedly made racial slurs and used a plastic knife to threaten other students at a school dance.
Stoughton police say they are investigating after officials say a student shouted a racial slur at a group of black students while waving a disposable plastic knife during a Friday night dance at O’Donnell Middle School.
The Enterprise of Brockton reports that Superintendent Marguerite Rizzi said Tuesday that administrators intervened immediately and the school is conducting its own investigation while cooperating with police.
Rizzi says the student has been removed from the school during the investigations.
