Tigers fall to Eagles

AUSTIN

Crothersville dropped its second pool play game in Henryville Tip-Off Tournament action to Austin 48-40 on Thursday.

The Tigers (1-1) trailed 18-11 after one quarter and 30-15 at the half. Crothersville scored just four points in the second quarter.

Crothersville climbed back out of the break.

The Tigers scored 18 points in the fourth quarter but fell short in the final three minutes of the game while in foul trouble.

Piper Hensley led the Tigers with 14 points, and Tayler Brewer added 12 points with five rebounds.

Tonight, the Tigers will play at Henryville for their final pool game.

The tourney placings matchups will take place at Henryville on Saturday.
