PARK CITY, Utah — Police are investigating a possible homicide in Park City after a woman’s body was found in a hotel room.

Park City Police chief Wade Carpenter says officers found the 29-year-old woman dead in a bed at the Park Regency hotel at about 1:30 a.m. Thursday after someone flagged down a patrol car.

About the same time, someone called police to report a suspicious circumstance in the room.

Carpenter says police are questioning the person who flagged down the officer. He says the victim doesn’t appear to be from the Park City area. He says a man and a woman were staying in the room.

Investigators say they are treating it as a possible homicide but no other details have been released.
