BATON ROUGE, La. — Police say a Louisiana man was found dead on the ground with apparent gunshot wounds.

The Advocate newspaper reports Baton Rouge police said in a statement the Zachary man was found at an apartment complex north of the Scotlandville neighborhood on Sunday shortly after 2 a.m. Police spokesman Sgt. Don Coppola Jr. said 22-year-old Chadrick Lee was pronounced dead at the scene.

Neighbors had reported hearing several gunshots and said the shooting happened in a parking lot toward the front of the complex.

As of Sunday morning, police had not identified any suspects or a motive for the incident.
