OPELIKA, Ala. — An Alabama man has been charged in an October robbery at a gas station store in which two people were shot.

The Opelika-Auburn News reports 25-year-old De’aundre Neal was arrested Saturday on charges of attempted murder and first-degree robbery in connection with the early morning incident at the 280 Marathon Station in Opelika on Oct. 2. Opelika police Capt. Bobby Kilgore said police are still investigating and are seeking an additional suspect.

Police said two gunmen opened fire and fled with an unknown amount of money in a car driven by a third person. Kilgore said he was unable to specify if Neal was a gunman or the driver.

One of the two victims faced life-threatening conditions but was later listed as stable.

It’s unclear if Neal has a lawyer.
