SEYMOUR, INDIANA

Mrs. Emma G. Bedel, 72, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017. She was born on July 12, 1945, in Jackson County, to the late Claud A. and Beatrice (Jaynes) Bedel. She was a member of Daughters of Isabelle. She had worked as a CNA for over 30 years, working at Lutheran Community Home and Jackson Park. She spent most of her life in the country and had just recently moved to town. She loved working in her flower garden and could make anything grow. She loved spending her time with family, especially her 3 sisters and special nieces. She also met monthly for lunch with friends from work. She adored her dog, Rodeo, and her two cats.

She is survived by her son, Michael (Tina) Jaeger; sisters, Edith Beckman, Anne Gay and Doris Bedel; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James E. Bedel; sons, Steven D. Bowling and Mark A. Bowling; brothers, Ivan Bedel, Francis Bedel and Joe Bedel; and sisters, Mary E. Williams, Carol Ray and Madge M. Bedel.

Funeral Mass will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service at St. Ambrose Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 8, at 11 am with Father Dan Staublin officiating assisted by Deacon Mike East. Burial will follow at Uniontown Cemetery.

Family and friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9 am until time of service. A Rosary service will be held on Wednesday at 8:45 am at the church.
