The last fish fry of the season to benefit the Joe Jackson Hotel restoration will be Saturday at Whistle Stop, across from the post office in Vallonia.

Serving will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fish dinners will be available for $7 and sandwiches for $4.50. Desserts are extra.

Fish fries are conducted on the second Saturday of the month during the warm-weather months.

Also Saturday, the hotel will be open for shoppers interested in visiting the general store.

The hotel is owned by the Fort Vallonia Days Association and is listed on both state and national lists of historic structures.
