CHARLESTON, S.C. — Authorities have charged a suspect in the death of a man whose body was found underneath a South Carolina overpass.

Charleston Police tell local media outlets Friday 25-year-old Quinton Lee Capers was arrested and charged with murder.

A passerby found the body of a man at around 9 a.m. November 2 underneath an overpass near downtown Charleston. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, and authorities say they believe he had been beaten to death. His name has not been released.

Capers was being held in the Charleston County jail, and it wasn’t known if he had an attorney. Authorities are still investigating his death.
