PHOENIX — Authorities say one person is dead and two others seriously injured after a crash involving a car and a pedestrian in west Phoenix.

Officials with the Phoenix Fire Department say two men —ages 18 and 21 — have been taken to a trauma facility after the crash that occurred about 5:15 a.m. Sunday.

Authorities say three men were walking in the eastbound lanes of Camelback Road when they were struck by a vehicle.

Police investigators say distracted driving may have been a factor in the collision.

They say the driver remained on scene.

Authorities have not yet released the names of the dead person, the two injured men or the driver involved in the accident.
